Our Hotel Royal Handmade Nougat has been honored by the Taipei municipality as a “Must Have Taipei Treat”. Our “Original Nut Nougat” is made over 15 hours of natural fermentation, using the LV of fresh cream, France’s Echire handmade butter, along with the “King of the Nuts” macadamias from Queensland, Australia, as well as Japanese trehalose and Taiwanese maltose for a perfect combination. We also add a touch of the organically certified British Maldon natural sea salt, yielding a soft nougat that doesn’t stick to one’s teeth. The Michelin grade ingredients ensure a pleasant taste sensation. Our nougat was even selected for promotions by Taipei in Paris and Seoul, wherethe international gourmand elite praised Hotel Royal nougat effusively. Theresa Hui-Yi Lin, Gastronomic Director for Oscar winning Director Lee An’s “Eat Drink Man Woman” has praised our nougat with these words “As delicious as the finest nougats of the birthplace of nougat- France!”
