The Chef
Executive Chef: Jack Chou (Chou Chien-chung)
Experience:21 years
Chef Jack started learning Japanese cuisine when he was sixteen, when he worked at a Japanese restaurant in Taipei with a Japanese chef. Deeply influenced by the Japanese attitude, he decided to become a chef in the Japanese food industry. By chance, he encountered Hotel Royal Taipei, and in the nearly three years there, he built himself a solid foundation in cooking. After finishing military service, he joined Hotel Royal Hsinchu, becoming executive chef at only 30 years old. Jack said, "the most important thing about cooking is being earnest." He believes learning is never stops, even as a chef, so he always gives it his all, creating new recipes and launching new cuisines from time to time to impress our customers.
